Giving Tuesday is a global movement that will be taking place on Tuesday, December 3.

Fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, where many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Each year, nonprofits, small businesses, schools, and religious organizations all over the world celebrate the global day of giving. One of the best ways to get involved is within your own community. This year, we’re graciously asking you to take part by giving to Meeting Street Schools.

Giving your dollars, giving your time, or giving your overall support of MSS will help us continue to reach and exceed our organizational goal: To ensure that by 5th grade, 85% of Meeting Street Schools students are achieving at the 85% percentile or higher.

By giving to MSS, we will be able to provide our students with more enriching opportunities such as athletics, clubs and tutoring. We will also be able to strengthen our literacy efforts through in-school programs like Read365 and book club. Most importantly, we’ll be able to provide our students with a strengthened community of support.

You can follow along on our blog and social media pages for more information, including MSS giving stories leading up to Giving Tuesday. We can’t wait to show you how our Meeting Street Schools students, families, and team members are giving to their community, too.
