Katie Robinson

Katie Robinson

Katie Robinson served as our Chief Academic Officer before transitioning to an Academic Advisor. During that time, Katie ensured that our instructional practices, curriculum materials and assessment tools were tightly aligned and supported our mission to prepare students to be college and career-ready. Katie works closely with our talented leaders and teachers to use a data-driven decision-making protocol to analyze data, set goals, develop strategies, and monitor our progress at the classroom, school and network-level as we build and grow effective schools. She also supports leaders and teachers in selecting assessment tools and using data to drive instructional practices. Her favorite quote is by Doug Reeves, “After all of these words, statistical analyses, and graphs…it’s what we do that matters.”

Prior to joining Meeting Street Schools in 2014, Katie served as the Director of Data & Assessment Coaching at the KIPP Foundation. She also spent a decade working in Charleston County School District as a teacher and instructional coach. Additionally, Katie has consulted with teachers and leaders in over 250 schools across the nation to help them use achievement data to inform instruction. She has also served as a consultant with the State Department of Assessment.

Katie received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and a Master’s of Education from the Citadel in Instructional Leadership. When Katie is not thinking about data and assessments, she can be found hanging out with her husband, three children, and black lab.
