The following was a letter shared with Meeting Street Academy – Spartanburg families.
Dear Mavericks,
We are thrilled to share that Ms. Siobhan Ragan has been named permanent principal of Meeting Streeting Academy – Spartanburg.
Since stepping into the interim principal role in May, Ms. Siobhan has led with vision, energy and a steadfast belief in the potential of every student. She has approached this year with a remarkable growth mindset, embracing challenges and modeling positivity.
Under Ms. Siobhan’s leadership, students have continued to thrive, sustaining the strong academic momentum that defines Meeting Street Academy. The entire school has demonstrated a collective commitment to continuous improvement these last nine weeks. Naming Ms. Siobhan principal now allows her to build on this progress and begin shaping her long-term vision for the school.
We are confident that under her continued leadership, Meeting Street Academy will continue its legacy of excellence and prepare students for a future of limitless opportunities.
We’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible contributions of Assistant Principals Molly Peterson and Anawya Quashie as well as Director of Operations Larry Lawson and Student Support Manager Janata Glover. Their collaboration and dedication to doing what’s best for students have been vital during this transition, and their collective leadership helps make this school community so special.
