After 12 incredible years with Meeting Street Academy – Spartanburg, Principal Kyndran Hilton will be leaving at the end of this school year to pursue another opportunity.
Kyndran is a Maverick through and through. Her leadership has been exceptional, guiding the school through multiple chapters of governance while achieving notable results. It was under Kyndran that the Academy was recognized in 2021 as a National Blue Ribbon School for being an exemplary, high-performing school.
“We will miss the love, warmth and joy Kyndran infuses into the Academy every day, and we look forward to celebrating her many contributions,” said Josh Bell, board member for Meeting Street Schools.
Assistant Principal Siobhan Ragan will be the school’s interim principal. Siobhan has more than a decade of experience at Meeting Street Schools, and she’s been Kyndran’s right-hand and chief collaborator.
“Siobhan has an unwavering belief in the potential of every student and a strong commitment to partnering with families to help students thrive,” Bell said. “I am confident that she will continue the Academy’s legacy of excellence and high expectations.”
