Meeting Street Elementary @ Brentwood has received a Wellness Inspired School Environment (WISE) award from BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation!
The $6,000 grant award will be used to increase access to fresh foods for students and families through the school garden and, to promote drinking more water by providing water bottles for all students.
Dr. Pamela Pepper, the school’s director of family and community partnerships, and Leigh Arden Beck, the school’s nurse practitioner, are leading the project.
